# Create posts

> Create, preview, approve, publish, and schedule social posts from Create Posts or brand chat.

Use **Create Posts** when you want a structured social post workflow. You can also start from brand chat with `/post`.

## Create a post

    Choose **Create Posts** from the sidebar, or ask brand chat to draft a post with `/post`.

  <Step title="Describe the goal">
    Include the audience, topic, platform, offer, tone, and any asset or link the post should use.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Select targets">
    Choose the connected accounts and platform variations you want to publish to.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Review the preview">
    Check caption text, media, hashtags, platform-specific fields, and any readiness warnings.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Approve the action">
    Publish immediately or schedule for later only after the preview and targets are correct. Scheduling follows your brand's [approval preferences](/account-and-billing/approval-preferences), which default to **Auto when connected**.

## Common tasks

* Create platform-specific variants from one idea.
* Reuse a library asset or generated visual.
* Add first comments or thread segments when supported by the platform.
* Send TikTok uploads to platform drafts when that option is available.
* Save a draft for later review instead of publishing.
